About
Inoue is an undergraduate researcher in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies with a Digital Studies concentration at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. Focusing the discourse on the Japanese Military “Comfort Women” system, they explore the survival of women from ontological legacy of colonialism. Inoue is interested in politics of remembering and forgetting of wartime sexual violence in the reinforcement and/or resistance against gender-based, racially motivated, state-sanctioned sexual violence post-WWII. On this website, they archive the records of the Statues of Peace across the world.
